Growing up, Thurlow was obsessed with the larger than life DJs of the 70s and early 80s. He even created his own make-believe radio station. As a teenager, he volunteered at a local AM station. His motto is, “Radio is always at its best when it’s one-on-one”- talking TO listeners not at them.
