Congressman Thompson announces $3M grant for Mississippi airports

Earlier today, Congressman Bennie Thompson announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration has awarded over $3 million to local airports in Mississippi’s second congressional district.

The funds are part of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act of 2020 and are intended to provide economic relief for any purpose for which airport revenue may be lawfully used.
