The Mississippi Lottery Corporation has announced its latest transfer to the state.
The February transfer of $11,618,730 to the ‘Lottery Proceeds Fund’ in the Mississippi State Treasury brings the total to over $27 million since the launch of the lottery in November 2019.
Until 2028, the first $80 million of revenue from the lottery each year will be put toward infrastructure, and anything further will be placed in the state’s ‘Education Enhancement Fund’.
In January, the Mississippi Transportation Commission designated the first $30 million of lottery proceeds for pavement restoration projects.
