The Mississippi Lottery Corporation announced they made their first transfer for the fiscal year of 2021.
That transfer was $10,148,035.69 in net proceeds going to the Lottery Proceeds Fund in the Mississippi State Treasury.
Since November 25, 2019, which was the first day of starting lottery sales in the state, the corporation has transferred over $80.9 million to the state.
“This is a great way to start the new fiscal year,” said MLC President Tom Shaheen. “In the coming months, we look forward to raising even more revenue for Mississippi’s roads, bridges, and education. ”
