The Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) has confirmed 274 new cases of COVID-19 with 32 additional deaths induced by the virus.
Today’s report brings the total number of cases Mississippi has seen to 82,950. With the 38 new deaths, the Magnolia State has now had 2,473 people die from the coronavirus.
Even though MSDH has not released the advanced statistics for today’s numbers, you can view the number of hospitalizations as of Friday, August 28 in the below chart.
This past weekend, MSDH also reported 1,382 positive cases with 28 deaths.
Today is the first day Mississippi has been under 300 cases since August 17, which was also a Monday.
