The number of coronavirus cases in Mississippi quickly rose overnight.
Nine new cases of the virus have brought the state’s total to 21. The new cases are spread out across Leflore, Jackson, Harrison and Hinds Counties and the virus is currently in nine of Mississippi’s 82 counties.
So far, 389 Mississippians have been tested for the virus.
As the virus continues to spread, the CDC’s latest guidelines recommend that you avoid gatherings of 10 or more people. Also, be sure to continue proper handwashing, stay home if you feel sick and cover your mouth when coughing or sneezing.
