Republican Governors urge Congress to provide liability protections to health workers, educators, and employers

Congress is considering additional legislation to address the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Republican Governors Association says 21 Republican governors, including Governor Tate Reeves, have issued a letter to Congressional leadership advocating for common-sense civil liability protections for businesses, educators, and health care workers to be included in any additional coronavirus response package.

The letter was addressed to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA).
